Condition: Constipation •  Qi Stagnation Type
Treatment: Descend Qi and promote bowel movement.
Description: Infrequent bowel movement, distending pain in the abdomen, involving the hypochondrium, frequent belching, bitter taste, dizziness, poor appetite, thin greasy tongue coating, and wiry pulse
Comment: Additional points LI14 and GB24 for hypochondrium pain and distention.

Point Selection:
CV12 • Zhon Guan • In the upper umbilical region, on the anterior midline, 4 cun superior to the umbilicus.
Central Venter. Front Mu Point of the Stomach that connects with Back Shu BL21. Meeting Point on the Conception Vessel with the Lung, Spleen, Stomach, and Triple Energizer Channels.
Explanation: Regulate Qi activity, relieve Qi stagnation.

CV6 • Qi Hai • On the lower abdomen, on the anterior midline, 1.5 cun inferior to the umbilicus.
Sea of Qi. Front Mu Point for Sea of Qi that connects with Back Shu BL24.
Explanation: Regulate Qi activity, relieve Qi stagnation.

GB34 • Yang Ling Quan • On the lateral side of the leg, in the depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula.
Yang Mound Spring. Hui Point for Tendons and Muscles. He Sea Point on Gall Bladder Channel. Earth Point on Wood Meridian.
Explanation: Regulate Qi activity, relieve Qi stagnation.

LI3 • San Jian • On the dorsum of the hand, on the radial side of the second metacarpal bone, proximal to the metacarpophalangeal joint, at the dorsal-palmar skin junction.
Third Space. Shu Stream Point on the Large Intestine Channel. Wood Point on Metal Meridian.
Explanation: Regulate Qi activity, relieve Qi stagnation.

ST25 • Tian Shu • On the abdomen, 2 cun lateral to the umbilicus.
Contraindication: Do Not Needle If Pregnancy is known or suspected
Celestial Pivot. Front Mu Point of the Large Intestine that connects with Back Shu BL25.
Explanation: Regulate Qi activity, relieve Qi stagnation.
